Winston Solicitors are amongst the first in the country to secure membership to the Law Society's Conveyancing Quality Scheme (CQS) - the mark of excellence for the home buying process. The accreditation gives an assurance that the Roundhay firm meets the high standards the Law Society have set for the conveyancing process.
The scheme is open only to members of the Law Society and is supported by the Council of Mortgage Lenders, the Building Societies Association, and the Association of British Insurers. We underwent a strict assessment in order to become members of CQS, and all our conveyancing staff receive regular training to ensure we are up to date with developments in conveyancing. In order to maintain their status, firms with the CQS mark are subject to ongoing monitoring, which includes audits and annual reviews.
Law Society President Linda Lee has explained that the Law Society introduced CQS to help to recognise high standards in the home buying process and deter fraud in the residential property market. Jeremy Conway, Head of Conveyancing at Winston Solicitors, said, “We are delighted to have secured CQS status. Our conveyancing clients have the benefit of knowing they can expect high standards and an efficient level of service from our firm.”
