Employment solicitor, Anil Champaneri has been voted into the role of deputy president of JCI Leeds (Junior Chamber International). Since joining JCI Leeds nearly two years ago, Anil has won two awards, one for best new member in 2008 and most recently the best council director award for his work with the Chamber during 2009
JCI is a worldwide network of people in their twenties and thirties, from all walks of life, whose aim is to learn, grow and lead projects in areas of business, community, international and individual personal development. The members organise and take part in a range of activities to improve their communities and to develop personally. Past members of JCI include Kofi Annan, Bill Clinton and Bill Gates. JCI Leeds was established in 1956 and is one of the largest junior chambers in the UK .
“My role in 2010 involves supporting the president of JCI Leeds and the Chamber as whole, while also planning what I wish to do and achieve in my year as president in 2011.” explains Anil.
Anil was nominated for the role of deputy president and then voted in by the JCI Leeds Council.
