Practice Manager, Jean Kennedy, and Family Solicitor, Joanna Wrigley, went back to school last week but this time they were the ones being called ‘Miss’.
Woodkirk Academy played host to a Careers Fair for over 500 students from the school. Among the exhibitors were the RAF, Army and West Yorkshire Police to mention just a few.
The students were able to speak to the Winston Staff to get advice on a career in law. Joanna was able to share her experience of becoming a solicitor and reminisce about her school life as she had attended Woodkirk herself.
Joanna said: ‘Going back to school and seeing the teachers again was a surreal experience but a thoroughly enjoyable one as I got the opportunity to speak to students who were considering a career in law and provided them with an insight into my day-to-day life as a family solicitor. I felt as though the students were genuinely enthused and appreciated the advice Jean and I gave and we have received extremely positive feedback from Woodkirk Academy.’
