For the second year running, two members of staff from Winston Solicitors, in Roundhay, went to talk to pupils at Woodkirk Academy in Wakefield during the school’s Annual Careers Fair.
Joanna Longfellow, a private client solicitor, along with colleague Hannah Snellin, a litigation executive, chatted to students from Years 11 to 13. After the 500 students visited the careers event, the sixth form students were invited to attend law classes, where the Winston Solicitors team held a question and answer session. This gave the students an opportunity to gain a valuable insight into the legal profession, helping the students to make informed choices about their own career paths.
