School pupils show their business flair

Winston Solicitors welcomed the opportunity to work with Cardinal Heenan High School, in Leeds 6, during a project involving imagination, creativity and business flair.

A ‘Dragon’s Den’ style forum was set up with the Year 10’s working on their projects in five teams of 16. Each team had two hours come up with a business idea with a prototype, work out costings and prepare their presentation. Spokespersons for each team presented their idea to a panel of judges who included Miles Mount from LEAP, Christine Marsden from Education Leeds and from Winston Solicitors Jonathan Winston and Francis O’Neill.

Having listened to all the business ideas the panel then chose the most worthy winner.

“I was looking for a team that presented an interesting plan, but I also wanted to see enthusiasm and belief in themselves.” said Jonathan Winston. “It was great fun and hopefully the teams were able to work on a project that motivated them and enabled them to be work as part of a team.”

Jonathan and Francis from Winston Solicitors then presented personal calculators to each member of the winning team.

Client feedback

I had a very good service from Michelle Ayres when selling. She was very helpful and prompt responding to any questions I had. I would recommend Michelle to others.

We can’t thank Leasa enough for all her help in purchasing our dream home. From start to finish, she was professional, proactive, and always one step ahead. Nothing was ever too much trouble, she kept us informed at every stage, explained things clearly, and made what could have been a stressful process feel smooth and well-managed.Leasa’s attention to detail and calm, reassuring approach gave us total confidence throughout. We’re so grateful for her support and would recommend her to anyone looking for a solicitor who genuinely cares about getting the best outcome for their clients.Thank you Leasa, we couldn’t have done it without you!

I contacted James Urquart Burton to seek advice regarding the ICB failure to communicate regarding my late mother’s appeal. The advice provided by James was invaluable. He has a wealth of knowledge and expertise in this area, and his advice and guidance were much appreciated. I would highly recommend him.

We had a great experience with Michelle as first time buyers. She was very professional and incredibly fast throughout the whole process. Even when we held things up a bit on our end, she was quick to respond and answered all our questions clearly and promptly. We would definitely recommend. Thank you.
